The Walter Gropius handle is a design we have always admired, and we love it for its solid and simple grip. That’s why we started with a cylindrical shape when we designed the Montgomery range.
We sought to keep the lines as clean and simple as possible, which led on to the idea of a clasped stem, thus keeping everything about the handle cylindrical.
On the back of the success of the LV1108 and the LV1142 with their delicate circular motifs at each end of the handle, we have introduced a new modern and clean texture in the linear knurl. A lot of thought and development went into the texture to ensure it maintained its sleek, modern appearance and the soft feel in the hand whilst operating.
These handles are designed to fit seamlessly with the Montgomery Pendant light LC1001.
If you're wondering which finish type to select, here's the key difference: living finishes gently patinate and change over time, ageing gracefully, whilst ageless finishes are either naturally unchanging, or boast a protective ceramic coating which mean the finish stays consistent.
