This solid brass surface bolt can be fitted vertically or horizontally onto the face of a door or window. It is normally used to secure the slave leaf of a double door set, enabling the main leaf to latch or lock into it. The bolt is then thrown and retracted by operating the knob. We usually recommend that two bolts are fitted per leaf; one at the top of the door and one at the bottom.
