The Dewhurst is inspired by the glitz and glamour of Manhattan circa the 1920s, when Art Deco reigned.
The cascading effect, created by the stepped detail, is our interpretation of the layered shapes that characterised this period of design. The result is a striking handle which creates texture and interest.
If you're wondering which finish type to select, here's the key difference: living finishes gently patinate and change over time, ageing gracefully, whilst ageless finishes are either naturally unchanging, or boast a protective ceramic coating which mean the finish stays consistent.

This recessed pull and privacy thumb turn are made from the finest grade solid brass and are hand-finished in all the standard Joseph Giles finishes.
This product is used in conjunction with a sliding door privacy hook lock & a recessed pull & emergency release (each supplied separately) and are usually installed on a sliding WC/bathroom door. The recessed pull & emergency release normally used in conjunction is the SF1074.TT.
A thumb turn is fitted to the inside of a WC door and is twisted clockwise to engage a privacy hook lock and anti-clockwise to disengage the lock, whilst an emergency release is installed on the outside of the door and can be used in the event of an emergency to open the door.
This product is not suitable for doors less than 44mm thick. When fitting these products, they will require bonding into the door. This product has passed an installation strength test when fitted with Evo-stick mirror adhesive, however Joseph Giles have not tested the combination of this product and these adhesives on every possible door substrate and in every possible situation, so we would advise you run your own tests before installing this product with any adhesives, including Evo-stick mirror adhesive.
