Our intricate Fly Press cabinet handle was created to showcase the unique style and designs which can be achieved using traditional blacksmith techniques.
The brass is placed on hot coals until it softens, at which point the metal is distorted and shaped using a traditional fly press which creates its unique shape and texture. The pattern is evenly applied across the piece, however, as they are made by hand each handle will vary slight variations.
At Joseph Giles, we appreciate and admire traditional manufacturing techniques and understand the importance of keeping the art of craftsmanship alive in the products that we design.
Please note, this product is made to order and quantity discounts are available.
If you're wondering which finish type to select, here's the key difference: living finishes gently patinate and change over time, ageing gracefully, whilst ageless finishes are either naturally unchanging, or boast a protective ceramic coating which mean the finish stays consistent.
