DC1021: Floor door closer with tile tray & top pivot

PRODUCT STORY

Door closers are required on fire escape doors but can also be helpful in other situations. The majority of this door closer is concealed in the floor and the door itself; there is also a frame plate and tile tray that also acts as a floor cover plate. This enables the closer to be concealed from sight and blend in with the floor.


This highly efficient very heavy-duty floor-mounted door closer with a frame-mounted pivot for high usage areas e.g. doors within a hotel entrance.

DETAILS

This product is CE Marked and 60-minute fire-rated tested. It is suitable for adjusted door widths up to 1100mm and door weights up to 150kg. The DC1006 has also been tested to BS EN 1154 and for over a million opening and closing cycles.


The following features are included as standard; delayed action, adjustable closing speed and latching action – all adjustable by an Allen key. The closer comes with a frame-mounted pivot for the top of the door, a cover for the floor and frame, fixings, and an intumescent pack.


The closer also has an opening angle of 180 degrees and will close the door from 170 degrees. Various sizes of spindles are available for different floor thicknesses.


The cover plates is made from brass and available in our signature finishes, the floor plate is also a tile tray and can be infilled with tiles or other types of flooring.

Rose Mechanism

SPBEARING

Stainless steel roses with springing mechanism and sealed ball bearings, for optimum performance.

The unique rota-bearing sprung rose brings smooth, positive and flawless operation while addressing all the common lever handle issues. The unique rota-bearing sprung rose is our preferred option to be used with all lever handles.

BEARING

Stainless steel roses with sealed ball bearings, for optimum performance.

The bearing rose to bring smooth, positive and flawless operation while addressing all the common door knob issues. The unique bearing rose is our preferred option to be used with all door knobs.

BASIC

Flat aluminium rose, that may have to be used in some situations where the Grip Tight, Self-centring, Sprung Bearing Inner-Rose System cannot be accommodated, for example, thin metal doors.

This rose option is not our preferred rose to supply with lever handles or door knobs, it does not offer any of the properties and or performance of the grip tight or sprung rose designs, and operation of the handles are purely down to the strength of the lock and highly accurate installation.

FIXED

Stainless steel roses with TIG-welded fixed spindles.

A highly durable fixed rose for use where a lever handle or door knob is not required to turn, or rotate but is needed to be installed in a push/pull application, e.g. when used in conjunction with a magnetic catch on a cupboard door.

HSTO BEARING

Stainless steel single sided rose with TIG welded spindle with bearing for smooth operation, designed for lever handles and door knobs.

The bearing rose to bring smooth, positive and flawless operation while addressing all the common door knob issues. To be operated from one side of the door by the use of a single door knob.
