PRODUCT STORY

The Dartington cabinet handle is inspired by a small, but necessary detail: the strap on a satchel.  Satchels, traditionally made from leather, have been a staple of fashion since the Roman times. 


The Cambridge-style satchel features a pouch with a front flap, held together by two straps. The image of pupils carrying books in Oxbridge campuses, bound together by quality leather, evokes that quintessential British spirit that we love.

DETAILS

This discreet leather handle is recessed into the top or side edge and the back of a cabinet door/draw and screw fixed from the back, it can comfortably be used on doors/drawers up to 22mm thick.


A fine example of British craftsmanship, the Dartington leather tab handles are handmade from the finest bridle leather that has been dyed all the way through to produce a deep and lasting colour. The edges are burnished for the perfect finish and to prevent any fraying.


Available in one size and our range of leathers and supplied with 16mm long fixing screws.

Rose Mechanism

SPBEARING

Stainless steel roses with springing mechanism and sealed ball bearings, for optimum performance.

The unique rota-bearing sprung rose brings smooth, positive and flawless operation while addressing all the common lever handle issues. The unique rota-bearing sprung rose is our preferred option to be used with all lever handles.

BEARING

Stainless steel roses with sealed ball bearings, for optimum performance.

The bearing rose to bring smooth, positive and flawless operation while addressing all the common door knob issues. The unique bearing rose is our preferred option to be used with all door knobs.

BASIC

Flat aluminium rose, that may have to be used in some situations where the Grip Tight, Self-centring, Sprung Bearing Inner-Rose System cannot be accommodated, for example, thin metal doors.

This rose option is not our preferred rose to supply with lever handles or door knobs, it does not offer any of the properties and or performance of the grip tight or sprung rose designs, and operation of the handles are purely down to the strength of the lock and highly accurate installation.

FIXED

Stainless steel roses with TIG-welded fixed spindles.

A highly durable fixed rose for use where a lever handle or door knob is not required to turn, or rotate but is needed to be installed in a push/pull application, e.g. when used in conjunction with a magnetic catch on a cupboard door.

HSTO BEARING

Stainless steel single sided rose with TIG welded spindle with bearing for smooth operation, designed for lever handles and door knobs.

The bearing rose to bring smooth, positive and flawless operation while addressing all the common door knob issues. To be operated from one side of the door by the use of a single door knob.
