REFINING THE REFINED
Often in design, less is more, simplicity is complexity and plain is a pattern.
The new Rathbone lever handle reflects this in the use of the complex simplicity of a reducing step detail as it angles round the shoulder of the lever to set off the plain, bold motif pattern of the square design creating more of a statement – with less detail.
Although it is available in all our standard brass and plated finishes, the richly aged patina of the dark bronze waxed finish adds depth and texture, while the shine of polished nickel is unflinchingly modern and reflects light off each angular face
Inspired by a mix of the Joseph Giles hallmark CUBE lever handle, and the sourced Lenzi lever handle, many revisions and prototypes were done before the design team proudly signed off the Rathbone lever handle.
The Joseph Giles design team are constantly refining and updating our product range, true to our 1970’s heritage of innovation (when our founders father, Dudley Harwood, created the speaker cone still widely used today – see our story).
