PRODUCT STORY

We designed the ‘Cube’ Collection over two decades ago in response to a gap in the market for architects, who, at the time, couldn’t find minimalist ironmongery for the contemporary residences they were designing.


The ‘Cube’ was one of our first major product designs, and its success gave us confidence in our ability to design and experiment with different materials and styles.


While there have been many imitations of the ‘Cube’, we are proud to say that it is truly ours and is ingrained into our history. Its success undoubtedly had a part in shaping the direction of the business, and today we have an unrivalled collection of beautiful hardware and remain focused on innovation and design excellence.

DETAILS

Our ‘Cube’ edge pulls are made from the finest grade solid brass. They are available in four sizes and all our signature finishes.


This discreet edge pull is recessed into the edge and back of a door. The large edge pulls can comfortably be used on doors 40-54mm thick. Supplied as single items with matching fixings.


**Please note that Joseph Giles cannot guarantee that the longer edge (that incorporates the grip) on our edge pulls will be exactly 90 degrees – this is due to the extrusion manufacturing process and is particularly important if the pulls are being fitted side by side, the handles will tend to curl slightly away from each other**

Rose Mechanism

SPBEARING

Stainless steel roses with springing mechanism and sealed ball bearings, for optimum performance.

The unique rota-bearing sprung rose brings smooth, positive and flawless operation while addressing all the common lever handle issues. The unique rota-bearing sprung rose is our preferred option to be used with all lever handles.

BEARING

Stainless steel roses with sealed ball bearings, for optimum performance.

The bearing rose to bring smooth, positive and flawless operation while addressing all the common door knob issues. The unique bearing rose is our preferred option to be used with all door knobs.

BASIC

Flat aluminium rose, that may have to be used in some situations where the Grip Tight, Self-centring, Sprung Bearing Inner-Rose System cannot be accommodated, for example, thin metal doors.

This rose option is not our preferred rose to supply with lever handles or door knobs, it does not offer any of the properties and or performance of the grip tight or sprung rose designs, and operation of the handles are purely down to the strength of the lock and highly accurate installation.

FIXED

Stainless steel roses with TIG-welded fixed spindles.

A highly durable fixed rose for use where a lever handle or door knob is not required to turn, or rotate but is needed to be installed in a push/pull application, e.g. when used in conjunction with a magnetic catch on a cupboard door.

HSTO BEARING

Stainless steel single sided rose with TIG welded spindle with bearing for smooth operation, designed for lever handles and door knobs.

The bearing rose to bring smooth, positive and flawless operation while addressing all the common door knob issues. To be operated from one side of the door by the use of a single door knob.
