The Bauhaus was both an influential art and design school and a school of thought. Founded by Walter Gropius, a German architect, the school sought to combine all forms of art, including architecture, together in practice. The style most associated with the Bauhaus is one that is void of ornamentation, and one that combines form and function harmoniously in its design.
The ‘Arnold’ was designed with these principles in mind. The design is simple, unobstructed, but also visually interesting in their subtle details, such as the indentation in this cabinet pull. The handles have been designed to work properly, and for many years, given their solid brass form and expert craftsmanship. We believe that the ‘Arnold’ will add that subtle influx of beauty and harmony into your space, as the products prove that form does not have to overshadow function; and function does not have to overshadow form. With the ‘Arnold’, you get both; as one should never have to choose.
