New Ribbed Flush Pull

New Ribbed Flush Pull

We are adding to our sliding door fittings product range with the introduction of the No. 5 Ribbed Pull (view product here), a flush fitted product which creates a luxuriously sleek yet bold look.  This further expands the Ribbed family of products which comprises a lever handle, another oversized lever handle, a door pull and a cabinet pull.  Like all the luxury hardware in this family, it is available in a number of different finishes, including waxed dark bronze, antique brass, polished chrome and brushed and polished nickels, to give total flexibility.  Customers have used the individual products as separate elements in a design, created a holistic look using the whole family in one finish or introduced variety through different finishes.

Creating this new sliding door flush pull as an addition to the Ribbed family caused a lot of headaches for our R&D team because of the tapering and curved attributes. However, the team persevered because they knew that it would be an extremely useful addition for specifiers.  So they took a step back and in doing so identified a further attribute shared by the existing products – the Art Deco styling.  This was then translated for a sliding door pull by altering the uniform silhouette to make it tapered, recreating one of the signature shapes of the era.

This product family started off several years ago with a distinctive ‘statement’ lever handle – oversize, extrovert and unbelievably heavy in the hand, this handle became a surprise hit and has been used in many luxury interiors with an undeniably design-led twist. However, the original lever handle was a little too extrovert for some tastes, so we launched an elegant slim version, available in our standard plated finishes.  See the whole Ribbed family here (link) or view the products in situ through our Inspiration Gallery (link).
