Plating is a finishing process in which a thin layer of metal coats a substrate, in our case brass. The process involved is for both decorative and practical purposes.
We offer a variety of plated finishes across our product range, allowing flexibility to suit the theme and colour scheme of any project. Plating provides protection of the base metal and corrosion resistance.
Mid-antique brass and dark bronze are some of our most popular finishes both in the UK and globally. ‘Living’ finishes will naturally patinate over time and usage. This allows each piece to develop a beautiful and unique look, adding character to the design scheme.
These are where the surface is the base material, which is then polished or brushed.
We can offer solid surfaces with a lacquered finish; however, we don’t usually recommend this as they are more susceptible to scratching over time.
Please note this is for reference only. As almost all of our products are finished by hand, natural variations will occur and will add a unique beauty to each piece.
If you can’t find the finish you’re looking for, please contact a member of the team to discuss your project requirements.
